"I had heard so much about Diehl, I had quite high expectations. The foods exceeded these expectations. I ordered the baked steak with sage, green beans and rolls, with a salad in front and chocolate cake. Everything tasted homemade, and the chocolate cake was very chocolatey and freshly costed. The beans did not taste. The high-quality butter was served with the homemade rolls, and with the baked steak there was a lot of engraving. Basically, the food at Diehl is everything Cracker Barrel wants. I went on a Sunday shortly after the church, so the restaurant was absolutely packed. The service was understandably somewhat slow, but I still got beverage refills and had a very pleasant experience. I will certainly try something else from the extensive menu again."

"I am giving this place 2 stars because the restaurant was clean from what I could see. And that my friends is the only good thing about it. This is a great place to take older people who can 't handle too much salt or spicy or flavor to their food. So if you have a bus load of seniors, they might love this place. The first rule about BBQ restaurants is if the BBQ isn 't the star, it 's not a good BBQ restaurant. Guess what...This isn 't the best BBQ restaurant. The menu included, chicken tenders and pizza. (What in the world?!? They also had corn fritters, fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. Seriously, crab cakes? We went for my birthday lunch with my in-laws. I ordered the brisket sandwich on texas toast (it normally comes on a roll , Mac-n-cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy. The husband ordered pulled pork on texas toast, fries and corn. My SIL ordered the pepperoni pizza. The server wrote everything down and went on her way. None of our orders came on texas toast. I got my husband 's sides on my plate. Ok. They switched the sandwiches, it happens. My SIL got a cheese pizza and in her words, It wasn 't very good pizza. The Mac-n-cheese was BLAND, but creamy(? or at least wet with white-ish sauce. The mashed potatoes were the best part of my lunch. The brisket was wet, tough and not tasty. The pulled pork was also wet. I am not sure what we sauce they use on the meat, but I don 't think it is the same sauce on the table. The husband 's fries were over cooked to the point they were hard. The buttered corn was the equivalent of school lunch corn, over cooked and no flavor. Will I be back? No. it 's not worth spending money on this place."
