"I have enjoyed several meals at the Esplanade hotel and have enjoyed them all. <br>
Recent visits to the bistro dinning area the salad and vegetable smorgasbord has improved immensely, the selection is large with many fresh options that are mostly gluten free!! 14 choices out of 16. I practically love the roasted corn and rocket salad. It certainly is the best selection I have seen in many years.<br>
Myself and my husband dine out often with friends, I would like to commend the staff as they are always polite and attentive, a special mention to Molly and Rochelle as they have both given exceptional service on our recent visits.<br>
The carvey on Sunday is sensational, great value, absolutely delicious, as soon as you enter the doors you can smell the aroma of fresh cook roast it hard to pass up, another special mention to the chef Tiffany whom every visit is friendly and very accomodating when carving our roast. "Restaurant was very cold inside but I figured if the food is good it would be worth eating there.All of our food was a disappointment.I ordered lemongrass chicken and that is literally all that came on my plate- chicken and a little onion however it didn’t even have lemongrass flavour. My husband ordered sesame chicken and we couldn’t even see any sesame seeds.Our fried rice smelt and tasted burnt. It looked ok but I couldn’t even eat it. No vegetables with the meals which is a first in my experience as I’ve always received vegetables with my meal at other restaurants if I’ve ordered chicken, beef, seafood.Price was not cheap either! The fact that there was no other people dining in should have been an indicator too but I brushed that off. We love going to different restaurants and trying flavours from around the world but this one certainly wasn’t a winner."
