"My fiancé Scott Poage and I can for our anniversary to celebrate and check out the new place. Our server Alex was attentive and did a great job, even though we had to move tables because of a noisy party. The drinks we ordered were delicious. I had the Mariposa and Scott had the Refuge's bourbon aged in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. We each ordered a fish dish and for both of dishes, the fish came out cooked perfectly, and the sides of cauliflower gratin, corn succotash, and the cheesy grits were amazing as well! The atmosphere was sophisticated and very relaxing. There were a few large party so it was a bit noisy in the side room but all in all we felt very welcome, and the place was inviting. We will definitely go back."

"Good, but weird. I went with my family tonight and tried the red curry coconut queso, the chicken tikka taco, and the Cuban pig taco. I love the concept of fusion food presented as tacos, but it was a little much. I enjoyed the red curry coconut queso it was like regular queso, and then you had the hints of red curry and coconut shone through at the end. It was served with blue corn chips although not enough for all that cheese! . The chicken tikka taco was tasty I liked the chicken and the sauce was quite good, but the rice on a taco was a bit much for me. Not bad, just odd. The same could be said for the Cuban taco. Porks, pickles, cheese, and a little too much mustard. Overall, the food was prepared well, but I think when I want a taco, I want something recognizable as a taco."

"Went to La Cantina Mexican Grill Woodlands for a late lunch... Started with the House made Queso with Chorizo, which was excellent! House Frozen Margaritas were great also. We split the Botana Platter which was a phenomenal, delicious and a great value. The ultimate appetizer platter with fajita beef chicken combo nachos on housemade tortilla chips, beef chicken quesadillas, fried seasoned pork tamales bites topped with chile con queso, cilantro lime salsa and pico, and season chicken flautas... All served with pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole. This really was a perfect platter of goodness! The kid got chicken quesadillas kids meal. Service was great too! Glad we went, we haven't been since they moved to the Woodlands from Willowbrook."
