"We went to Bella Notte to celebrate my 50th birthday. Both the food and the service were outstanding and we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed starters of tomato crostini, pane e formaggio, deliciou Burrata, Caprese Salad and Shrimp Limoncello. We followed with the Pasta Rustica, Salmon Filet, Branzino special, Short Rib special, Egg Ravioli with beef, and a dozen and 1/2 of oysters. Everything was incredibly delicious and served to order. *We did not partake in their dessert as they allowed us to bring in a cake. The servers were very just the perfect level of attentive. I would highly recommend Bella Notte for a celebratory dinner or just a night out for dinner. It's priced just right, the food is outstanding and the atmosphere is welcoming."

"I've actually been here a few times or more since it's opened. I was sad to see the hit and miss reviews... my review is obviously good. I wonder if at times it's been related to staff/cook problems. Apparently, I have timed it perfectly every time! I've gone with several different people too, for lunches and dinners. It does look dark and the cars were mostly hiding on one side, so this time I was a little leary, but sure enough there was diners and drinkers inside. The left side is a bar area with music playing. I've sat on both sides. When I've been, it's been busy too. Likely because the prices for alcohol and food are so cheap, especially for Durham Region! The right side with booths and tables is much quieter, but with such a big space, noise does travel. Yes, it's no frills. There's no linen or table cloths or flowers. Yes, there's some controversy on reviews I have read about extra pennies charged instead of reprinting a menu... seriously, for the price, who cares! It's still a good and cheap meal. We've had all the steak choices / preferences and soup and sandwich type items. No complaints .. Yes, I do prefer one cut over another and all have been cooked perfectly. This time for dinner I had a burger, fries and beer and a decent tip for a smidge over $ 20, all in! In Durham, haha. If you are looking for typical bar food and cheap, why not try it! It's one meal. And if it goes well, I bet you will go back:)"

"If you like southern style buttermilk biscuits, you have to give these a try. Different than Red Lobster's biscuits but I love them both. This place is different than other fried chicken places and is worth a try. The chiken breading is always nice and crunchy. I like it spicy. Especially interesting is their selection of side dishes including cajun rice, red beans and rice, cajun fries, corn on the cob and jambalaya."

"My husband and I dined here for valentines in February and I keep meaning to return. The food was amazing. The portion sizes were small but wow.. you can tell that the chefs and all the cooks really do have a passion for cooking...good food. I would highly recommend this place."

"From here for a quick beer and snack during the walk through the kensington market. the atmosphere is great down here. (remembers me a bit in the old havanna) it was nice that they furnished a terrace with heating. tacos de chorizo 3 x 5 soft tacos three double maize tortillas filled with hardened pork, marinated on a slightly spicy guajillo sauce, garnished with pico de gallo dipping sauce. $19 and I have a stella artois pint beer to go with him $9. with drinking money and tax came to $40. (for what we have seen a bit steep, plus that came cold would have been nice when it was hot)"
