"We are locals and have been going to Henni's for years. It was very unique and absolutely delicious and with a South African flair. There was nothing even remotely like it anywhere around. It was one of our favorites, until everything changed a couple of years ago. Now the menu is extremely limited, nothing to remind us of the unique and wonderful dishes that used to be on the menu and now, it is embarrassingly overpriced. We hadn't been there since July 2021, so we thought we would give them another chance last week. We were so disappointed, we left. We know many other locals that will not go back and we are among them. Why would they change a perfect thing? Tourists don't know the difference, but the locals do and locals pay the bills for Henni's in the off season,,but we wonder for how long. They made a big mistake."

"Went there around Valentine’s and was a bit disappointed that they were offering a limited menu. My wife and I were looking forward to trying several items we saw on the online menu. The cocktails were awesome though. We will try it again though."

"Very nice ambiance but overworked and understaffed team. The Lulu host was particularly rude; he acted like we asked for a walk-in to Le George when I asked if there was any walk-in room for the speakeasy downstairs. Waitress was great. Menu was limited and nothing special, very little for vegetarian options. Great catfish though. Good prices on food, especially for the location. Cocktails typically pricey for the location. It’s not bad, but it’s not great. Lots of better cajun in the city."

"We had a 6:30 reservation. and were seated immediately. Our server, Gerry, was excellent; professional and friendly. We all ordered from the prefixed menu. Every dish was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the bouillabaisse. My husband had the Tres major pomme frites, medium rare, and it was perfectly prepared. The Creme Brule was outstanding. It being Restaurant Week we expected the noise level to be loud. While the restaurant was crowded, we were pleasantly surprised to find we could converse without having to scream. We will definitely be back to Passerelles."
