"Arriving with friends we were disappointed to find the outside area a bit run down and uninviting. We were told we could not sit at a vacant table on the decking next to the river as it was unsafe. The waiters were attentive and friendly and we did not have to wait for service. The second disappointment was that the only Sea Bass they had was over 1kg at €45 a kilo. It also looked a bit sad, dull and unappetizing. So two of us ordered Black Pork, one Bream and one ribs. The third disappointment was the Black Pork. I have had black pork here before, and many other places in Portugal, but this was awful and almost inedible. So tough I couldn't even finish the meat as my jaws were aching. It was not like any Black Pork I have ever had in Portugal. The Bream was good but the ribs were also vey tough, with most of the meat refusing to come off the bone and no sauce at all. Very dry. After that experience we decided to give desserts a miss. We were in the unfortunate position of bringing friends here so to complain at the table was not really an option. We will not be returning to this place."
