"The flavours were authentic and quite fulfilling. After a quiet drink or 5, it really hits the spot. As a Melbourne based individual, it is fantastic to come across a place like this here."

"Great venue and thoroughly enjoyed myself however, the food was fairly standard.
I started at the piano bar and got the dips and bread trio which I will speculate was no freshly made but bought. When I went to the show, I had the black onyx rump which was OK but very small portion. Dessert was OK, key lime pie nothing to talk about really. Solid but not amazing. Venue is great though but I wouldn't eat there specifically."

"Average at best. Went for a casual dinner with my family to celebrate end of Uni and School exams for the year. Garlic Bread for entree was nice. Mains Pizzas were also nice. Fettuccine Cabonara was very basic and lacked flavour and was a very strange consistency almost like the sauce was all butter and not much else. I struggled to eat it. Veal dish was ok but tasted a lot like tinned tomato in the topping. Didn't bother with dessert went elsewhere instead. We decided we wont go back. Other local restraunts are better quality and value. Service was also average in a restraunt with only two tables of customers."

"Enjoyed the Indian from here. We ordered a pack that contained so much in it such as Naan bread, pappadums, 2 curries, rice etc. it was such good value. Food was tasty."

"EXCLUSIVE!!! Guess who got an exclusive look into new Head Chef Massimo Speroni's menu! Oh yes I did!
What an amazing opportunity to see the start of something that is truly amazing!!! Chef Massimo only arrived one week ago to Australia, yes one week. He had to meet new staff, a new setting and new produce to work with. This guy is just so dedicated and talented, of course this is reflected in his previous experience as the Sous Chef at the 2**Michelin San Domenico.
Anyway back to the food! Sweetbread, delicious 'Pan Fried Veal Sweetbread with mixed salad sumac, crunchy buckwheat and black truffle jus'. Haven't never tried sweetbread I was pleasantly surprised how tender and moist it was. The crunchy buckwheat gave the added texture to compliment the meal. 2013 Dourthe Sauternes Grand Terroirs. The sweet intensity of the wine was well matched by the richness of the truffle jus.
Ora King Salmon served with Yellow capsicum, cumin, spring onion with puff rice and purple potato. The smooth and buttery salmon went well with the sweetness of the capsicum salad and the hint of cumin. The purple potatoes worked so well too, complimenting the salmon's texture with its own silky smoothness. I may have had a cheeky nibble of the Kingfish, grilled corn, sour cream, quinoa and lime. This dish was the stand out for our table, the texture of the fish was smooth and melted in your mouth, whilst the flavours enticed my tastebuds to have its own little party!
Dessert! Everyone wanted the chocolate, but I selected the Pineapple with caramelised pineapple jam with ginger bavarious and sesame wafer. I was so please as the mouthful of the chocolate was plenty for me, and this beautiful pineapple dish softened on my palette and gave me a fresh and lite ending to my amazing evening!
This is definitely a place to watch over the next couple of months and it grows into something phenomenal! Thanks Bacchus for a fantastic evening, your staff are beautiful and unforgettable! The food is absolutely divine! (Please note, the photos don't do this place justice, but I just needed to share with you my night!)"
