"The owner of this establishment is an absolute j Rude, dismissive, unfriendly, pure trash!1. The owner would not allow the hostess to sit our party b/c (2) were next door at the candy shop.2. The food is poor quality. Absolutely terrible!! The omelette was slimy, pancakes were dry, and grits were bland.3. My husband and I ordered the same meal with different sides so we could share. I ate half of the pancake he shared with me and a small bite of my omelet grits. Too terrible to even try to eat. I regret not taking pictures of the food because this explanation does not do the justice I need it to! TERRIBLE!4. The owner would not take one meal off our bill because he said we ate some of our food.5. The table next to us had an issue with shells in their eggs. The owner came to the table and put his hands in the eggs to feel for shells!!! And after mushing his hands in the eggs told the party ‘there’s no shells in these eggs’.I will NEVER be back!!!!"

"My son literally craves the gravy and biscuits from the Meal House! We, a family of 8, have eaten there for years, their carry out service has gotten us through so many‘I was up to many times last night to cook breakfast’ and ‘what am I fixing for dinner?’ Moments. Coming from New Jersey where we have plenty of diners I haven't bumped into anything like this since I've been here in Charlotte. Awesome awesome the omelettes the country biscuits all of it was great this will be my go-to breakfast spot from here on. Has all of the diner items you can want."

"Great!. The food tastes great, so I dont understand the other reviews. It's a cheap menu but its home made food! Now as far as the service goes, alot of the women seem like they really dont want to be there and they are always sad looking, but there is a very bubbly young lady, shyanne, great sevice and great personality!"
