"Food is delicious! Stopped by because every other place had long lines and we were starving. Weren't sure what to expect but the food was amazing. There were only two servers so it was extremely hectic, but the food was brought out quick. The beignets were soft and fluffy and the omelets delicious and filled with so much seafood, we ordered three seafood omelets! The hash browns are more of breakfast potatoes but very yummy. Definitely recommend. However if you are looking for authentic gumbo or the like, this may not be the restaurant. If you want a quaint little place with yummy food then this is a must-try!"

"Sunday night business dinner. Restaurant barely full but two very large parties seemed to occupy our waitress a good deal of the time. Appetizers took forever and when delivered were cold. Brick chicken was good but shrimp po’boy wasn’t. And beignet dessert bites were heavy, doughy and tasted like old oil. Just awful. So disappointing. I know our waitress tried harder at the end but it just didn’t work. Can’t recommend and I won’t be back."

"Excellent locally-owned diner. The lunch special was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I got grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes, a caesar salad, and a side of entertaining conversation with my fellow diners. It's not fancy, but it's good food for a fair price, with good service, and a friendly atmosphere. Recommended!Food: 4/5"

"Absolutely amazing restaurant. My family and I are locals and we came across this place by random for Sunday brunch and decided to go in. Let me tell you, we are SO glad that we did. We had such an amazing experience..I hardly know where to start. The gorgeous, quaint setting in mid city with the large open windows to watch the street cars pass by and great jazz music playing to start off brunch were the first things we noticed. Then, our server was the most inviting, welcoming, enthusiastic person we could've asked for. I believe her name was Cathy and she should get all the credit she deserves. Now, the FOOD! OUT OF THIS WORLD. Oh my goodness, we ordered a bit of a variety and ended up sharing all of our food because it was all SO phenomenal. This place really knows how to create an outstanding, diverse menu and execute their dishes to absolute perfection. And to top it all off, one of the owners (or the owner's daughter, I believe? , came and checked on us and then proceeded to talk to us for a while about the background of the restaurant and our entire experience. That is the kind of personal touch that you just can't put a price on. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. This place was so great to us that we made such great memories here that we've already declared it an official tradition for us to return here whenever we all get together again."
