"That was the worst culinary experience I had in many, many years. our meal lasted almost an hour to be served after the order, although it was early on a weekday night and the restaurant was not crowded at all. when my meal was served, I took a bite and was almost sick. the fish tasted like ammonia. the eating of my sohne had fish bones and a foreign substance in the flare that coated his fish, he had to spit it out and could not eat it. the one bright spot was our server, which she was very attentive and could not have been nicer. However, when she credited us for the pampered meal on the bill, she did not give us the entire meal price that we did not have enough time after we were 90 minutes there to wait for her to fix the review again, so we ended to pay $90 with the tip for a ok meal from three. never again."

"This is my 4th visit to the Elmwood Inn. Although I don’t remember what I had previously ordered, I do know that it was hot, fresh and delicious. Otherwise, I would have never returned. Tonight my husband and I each ordered the Beer battered haddock fish fry. The fish was fresh,the batter was perfect and the fries were excellent! Both were served piping hot. The coleslaw was also good. This is the best fish fry I have had in a long time. Another plus is the fish fry is on the menu every day so we were happy to have it on a weekday! Our server was nice and attentive. We plan on returning soon."

"Really beautiful setup. Free parking behind building. Service was pleasant and friendly but food taste was below average especially for almost $30 plates. My wife got a chipped glass my a bar tender who didn’t really know much about the two drinks being served. We tried a wide variety of dishes that you can see from pictures and we all agreed it wasn’t anything special. Worth trying once but won’t be a regular thing for us."

"The three of us visited the City Grill' on a weeknight. The crowd was moderate, and many of the other patrons sat outside, on the patio, and we sat inside, therefore we found the overall noise level fairly low Our server was very polite, courteous, and knowledgeable of the restaurant's menu items. Our drink order was both taken, as well as brought promptly. Our dinner orders were taken shortly thereafter, but allowing us an appropriate amount of time just to relax and chat a little. Our entrees were brought shortly thereafter, and were very delicious. The only hiccup occurred when one of our side dishes didn't arrive with our meals. It was brought later, but by then we were pretty much finished with our dinners. The manager intervened, however, and took care of it which was both very professional, as well as appropriate. We ordered a chocolate chip cookie/ice cream dessert, which turned out to be HUGE, and quite delicious Overall, we were impressed with our experience, and will not hesitate to return."
