"My wife and I were here for a late lunch on Sunday. We had never been to his restaurant before but had driven by it many times. It's part of the Charleswood Village area.We're seniors in our 60's and appreciate peaceful surroundings. We were quite pleased with the ambience. The place was tastefully decorated, the chairs and booths were comfortable, the lighting was not obtrusive and the music was pleasant.Our server was very professional and not at all in your face. The food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time.The food tasted delicious. My wife had the short rib and cheese sandwich with caesar salad. She loved the sandwich; the caesar was pretty bland but OK. I had the Angus burger and was surprised by the delicate flavours and taste. The fries were fine but were coated in a spice blend that must have had MSG in it. I bloated up about 30 mins after eating. I enjoyed the local beer on tap. My wife thought the coffee was very smooth. We both enjoyed the lemon tart for dessert.Be warned that the lunch cost us $53 plus tip."

"Friendly staff that seemed to keep everyone happy and with a big group that can be a hard thing to do. Service was reasonably quick and the plates were all clean so it had to have been good. Soup was great and the buns they served were even better. As with all things I had the back ribs and they were just okay."

"Had scallops for an appetizer, which were cooked perfectly. The braised lamb was ridiculously good, especially the sauce. Wait time was decent. A little noisy on the main level if there's a group in the room, but that's the extent of my complaints and that's probably to be expected because it is a bistro. "Since we are staying here at the Marriott Sanibel Resort and Spa for the weekend, we always love a good steak so we must try the Courtside Steak house. Why they called it that name? Well its right next to the tennis courts so we guessed it correct!!! Even though we had reservations for 7:30 for two, we didn't need it because the place was empty on a Friday night. So we checked in and told them and we decided to sit at the empty bar with the baseball playoff games on the TV. Jonathan, who was the bartender and waited on us, was polite, knowledgeable about the menu and specials, and was a great conversation. A bottle of Sonoma Cutre Chardonnay to share and one ice berg lettuce wedge for my love. Nice and ice cold perfect starter. For the main course, a 6 oz filet mignon for her and I had the 12 oz NY strip. For the sides, the sautéed Brussel Sprouts with pancetta and the cheese topped au gratin potatoes. Both beef entrees were grilled to a perfect medium rare, served on a very hot plate. So best way to get some of the redness out is to cut the beef in half the long ways, and place it on the hot side of the plate and it will be perfect for a few minutes. YUM!!! Both of the sides were a perfect match and wash it down with the chardonnay and we were set for the night. No room for dessert, and a quick call by the staff, to the valet area and the free shuttle was there to take us back to the Sanibel/main hotel building. Overall, good steaks, a bit too heavy on the seasoning, nice dining room, decor and ambiance. Great service from Jonathan. We will be back!!!?️?️?️???"
