"Mediocre. I wouldn't bother; there are plenty of other restaurants with better food for the price. The food wasn't bad; it just wasn't all that good. My drink a lemon drop martini was bad. I've had this kind of martini in many restaurants; this one did not have a good flavor. The glass was not full; the rim was not sugared all the way around, as it normally is with this martini. The restaurant was understaffed. There were several large parties, and there weren't enough wait staff. It appears that the kitchen also was understaffed. I ordered the beet and goat cheese salad. Twenty minutes after ordering it, it still was not ready. The reason: something about the goat cheese. Everything took too long. If you're going to make folks wait for their meals, then the meal should be fabulous, not mediocre. I wouldn't recommend Bordeaux and do not plan to return."

"We got the new York strip and the venison meatloaf. The steak was cooked to perfection, I enjoyed every bite. The venison was amazing and unique flavors. The prices were great too! 2 large meals, glass of wine and 2 cups of soup for $65."

"This is my second time visiting this establishment and I'm giving 3 stars (I almost have 2 stars) because 1. they refuse to split checks. It's a headache especially with a group of 20 people. They already add gratuity for 2 or more people... which is pretty much every table so why not split the checks? This is real inconvenient especially in 2022 since most people don't walk around with cash. 2. And speaking of credit/ debit cards they won't let you use credit card unless spending $20 or more. The first time I went we sat at the bar and a guy wanted a beer and walked out cuz he wasn't going to drink $20 worth of beers. Businesses need to be more accommodating to give patrons a good experience. 3. My drink was horrible. It was so strong that I literally had to add a half a glass of water to it. That was the first time I went. I can't remember the drink but the bartender, who appeared to be a substance abuser or maybe in recovery, was really trying hard and she was super friendly but that drink was NOT it. I'm giving 3 stars because even with all of that it's a nice, clean, spot to grab a bite in the south suburbs, the food is excellent and the live band on Friday nights is always entertaining... at least they were on the 2 Friday's that I visited."

"Fantastic and friendly service in a very stylist, yet cozy atmosphere. Each course was high quality, well executed Italian comfort food. I liked the taste of the food when Tannin was at their Okemos location, but balked at the pricing. Now that they're in the Eastside, the food price point is very reasonable, making their menu very accessible. Even the made-from-scratch scoop of Chocolate Bourbon gelato (not pictured) was so delicious, it didn't last longer than 10 minutes."
