"By far the best Chinese food in the state. Coming from the east coast, for almost 10 years as Iowian inhabitants, I was looking high and low for this perfect taste. My wife and I stumbled over this restaurant and have not gone to another Chinese restaurant ever since. That was three years ago. I can admit, and my friends at home would freak out when they hear me say that, but Shanghai is by far the best Chinese food in which I have ever sung my teeth. Not only is the food delicious, but the service and the atmosphere is at the point, that is also something else this restaurant has over my East Coast favorites. East Coast Peeps are not always the most friendly. I recommend this restaurant to everyone! You miss it if you don't try it."

"Great atmosphere, great beer and good food. I had the burger of the month that was the Glazed State Fair Burger. This was a perfectly boiled burger with fried jalapeños and glazed donuts as the rolls, it was absolutely amazing. I washed it with a Slim Shandy and an Iowa Gold Ale."
