"Take the 4 line Metro to the Mouton Duvernet station and walk north one short block. Turn the corner and one half block down the street you arrive at this gem of a restaurant. It will probably be packed. It usually is. There will be...no tourists. There hardly ever are. The menu is filled with dishes that cross over from Indian to Creole with some Mauritian uniqueness thrown in. Try the Mauritian assiette for an entree. You will get about seven different items, such as squid, eggplant and shrimp beignets, samosas, and a fish item, all will be lightly friend. My wife raves about the octopus salad. There is a wide variety of plats, fish, beef, shrimp, chicken and lamb curry or biryani. A particular kind of Mauritian pork dish, which, I apologize, its name I cannot remember. Each dish is fresh and flavorful. The portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable. Entrees in the 7 to 8 euro range. Most plats are around 12 euros. Staff may appear to be harried. Nevertheless, they are friendly and accommodating. If you want to try something different, a unique type of cuisine, consider Le Mauritius. I don't think you will be disappointed."

"Nous nous sommes rendus dans ce restaurant un samedi soir en fin de soirée un bon point ce restaurant ferme à 2 h . Le cadre est cosy , africain chic plutôt agréable . L'accueil n'est pas chaleureux ni accueillant qui ne reflète pas l'esprit de l'Afrique . La commande est prise au bout d'une bonne demi heure , le serveur ne nous salue pas et prend la commande d'un air blazer ..... nous attendons les boissons pendant environ 15 mn un verre de vin et un kir royal ....... les plats arrivent une éternité après mais ils sont très bon et en quantité.Bref cette établissement fait de la bonne cuisine africaine que j'affectionne mais le service est lent et sans enthousiasme . Il y'a une bonne ambiance avec de la musique actuel . Les tarifs sont très correct pour le quartier et la qualité des mets . Il faudrait revoir le service et ce restaurant serait presque parfait ."

"I've never been in this restaurant before, I've done my research on google reading negative comments I was afraid to take my friends for a first discovery of Cameroonian dishes. I was pleasantly surprised, good welcome, not long waiting and we enjoyed the atmosphere and the dishes (sauce gombofou, chickens and fish braised with Cameroonian, swollen quite copious.
