"We chose rope and anchor, a topsy turvy pub/restaurant hidden a road back from quayside. we came to 1.45 to find that there were no tables. Luckily, soon after that someone is ready so that we were able to have their table that was quickly deleted and cleaned. the food is ordered at the bar. a direct roast with the choice of 6 different types of meat with options to have 1 6 portions of meat! the 40-minute waiting time for eating seemed quite long, but the owner came and apologized like a party of 10 had preordered us. I think it was just a case of bad timings in our name, when another table that came a lot later was served immediately after us. the table area was a pleasantly relaxed environment with a large 80s soundtrack in the background. the young was worth it, but wait! huge portions that were served, pissing hot. 3 different freshly steamed veg, 3 large brat potatoes, huge homemade yorkshire pudding and a mass of quality meat. I had truthahn, he had bark meat and chicken. Both were served with a side of cranberry or ross skin sauce. If I had a tiny negatiw, it would have been the package stuff. it just didn't fit with all the other beautiful fresh ingredients. I have given a nice recipe on my blog from my nan."

"I really rate Chicken Blues, great food and always fast delivery. However, I am only giving 4 stars as the past couple of times I have ordered click and collect my food has been cold, which has been really disappointing."
