"While we visit family at home in Livermore, we wanted to have some Japanese food. I noticed Matsuyama Kenji on Yelp and OpenTable had good reviews, so we decided to go. The restaurant is modern and clean. I had the boss special Sashimi (see picture), my wife had Tonkatsu Ramen, and my brother had different sushi roles. We also had Age Dashi Tofu as an appetizer. Everything was delicious, fresh and well presented. The Age Dashi Tofu had a beautiful light coating, not greasy, with a tasteful broth very simple and well made. The fish was very fresh, with an excellent assortment about the typical tuna, salmon, etc. The Tonkatsu broth had an excellent taste depth; the sushi rolls were also excellent. My brother enjoyed it so much that he and his wife came back to dinner the next night."
