"Outside, a classic Munich beer garden, on the grounds of Schloss Fürstenried, with a beautiful park all around. Inside, two elegant rooms. For those with kids, a pretty nice play area. The restaurant was a tip from a friend; we don't live in Munich, and it's fairly far from city center. But it was easy to reach on our way to Autobahn A8 towards Stuttgart. I've only been to the restaurant part--once inside, once outside. The beer garden, we've been assured by our friends, has some of the best beer garden staples, all made right on the premises. The restaurant is not particularly expensive (main courses were AFAIR between 12 and 20 Euro), but the quality of the food is excellent. On one of my visits, I had some of the best lamb I've had recently. On another, I had a truly excellent steak (which is not exactly typical of Germany). Other members of our group had calf liver, asparagus with pork medallions, duck--and everybody said it was excellent. They have a good selection of draft beer; there's also a rather extensive wine menu, but we didn't try any."

"The Bavarian environment gives them the feeling to be home. the menu is not overloaded. Anyway, there's something you'll find. most of the time, this is almost booked locally. Eating is tastefully really good and the price-performance ratio is top. Why do I write this review? I'm disappointed by the service. the last two visits were extremely unstoppable. yesterday, my accompaniment and I sat more than an hour before our drinks. more than 30 minutes before empty glasses. actually we wanted to eat. at my complaint I got the complaining statement, the operation thought there was someone else and she just wanted to wait. what does this have to do with empty glasses? none of the two services has seen in our direction, so we could not be noticed either. I expect everyone to be regularly controlled and then asked if we want to drink it or order something. that should be done! otherwise it is highly recommended locally."

"Small running-sushi restaurant in quiet location, friendly and helpful but perfectly unobtrusive staff we stayed almost until closing time on a Monday night, and when the waiter realized we were waiting for certain dessert items to come running along, but they somehow never got...to us, he came to our table to ask who wanted which item they had simple ice cream, fried banana, scliced fresh melon, and some sort of pudding I think and brought them to our table. The sushi were not of the fancier type, but totally satisfying in my opinion. My 9-year-old son managed to get full on a variety of foods without touching any sushi, and naturally he enjoyed the whole set-up very much. Totally recommended, especially in an expensive city like Munich."

"We were there 4 months ago. Beautiful shady chestnut beer garden. The area of self-service food and drinks is somewhat unorganized. Prices higher than in other gardens, but very good. The service in the service area is friendly and attentive."

"I have been to Steinheil 16 three times in the past year and it has been consistently delicious each time. Although they have an extensive menu, I have only ever tried the Käsespätzle and Schnitzel because not only are they absolutely delicious, but they are extremely large portions for a great price. Definitely more than enough for two people to share. Also, the servers are very nice and speak perfect English. It's definitely a good idea to make a reservation if you plan to go for dinner, as there was a line outside the door when I initially went in December. Making a reservation was super easy since you can make them online through OpenTable."
