"This resturant was very clean and orderly. It's a cafeteria style dining. There is a large variety of dishes. I had baked fish, creamed spinach and a roll with ice tea. It was delicious! Their sweet potato pie was very good. The waiter and servers were friendly. The cost was moderate."

"For my wife’s birthday, we had a party of 8. My sister in law called to see if she could bring a home made birthday cake. The manager said absolutely. Right there we’re getting off to a hood start! We had a gentleman named Andre as our server. He’s a true professional. All of our needs and concerns we’re addressed and his patience was well appreciated. The food was cooked as requested and delicious! Highly recommend!"

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"5 stars only because it does not choose 6. very professional staff and eating is always fantastic! Some of the most beautiful queen I had. also they have a fantastic selection of assigned bourban, although many of them are expensive to pour out. eating is expensive, but it's so good."
