"Paris Go! had a comprehensive menu, with French traditional favourites and modern options. On the modern side the goats cheese ravioli was excellent, a vegetable tart was delicious, and the fish and scallop main course dish was perfectly cooked. For traditional fare I loved my French onion soup and my husband’s steak was just right. Many dishes looked and smelt delicious, I will have to come back. The desserts looked so good we couldn’t decide, so ordered six for our table of four. The best was the fig pudding, a little bit like sticky date pudding but lighter, with a more delicate flavour. Pear tart tartin was wonderful, the pear pulled apart with a luscious scent of cinnamon, though the short pastry was unusual. I am told the lemon tart was startling in its lemoniness and is recommended. The crème brûlée was fine, the chocolate mousse and profiteroles were nothing very special. It is a full and busy restaurant with good service. It’s all about the food."

"Was catching up for dinner with a friend on Lygon and we decided to try Copperwood given we'd walked past many times before and never gotten around to checking it out. I opted for the pesto gnocchi which is pretty much my go to in my pasta repertoire because it's so calorifically delicious. The serving was quite generous and very satisfying. Extremely consistent with what you will find anywhere on this street in terms of pricing, flavours and menu range. A nice dimly lit interior made for an enjoyable atmosphere and the service was pleasant. Nothing overly memorable but certainly no issues either"

"Dinner at Cuvée is always a pleasure! Located in the small country town of Carlton (that was beautifully decorated for the Christmas Holidays) it is a gem. Well worth the drive."

"Blues is part of the Rydges on Swanson. It caters for the breakfast spot and is very good. Fresh fruit, yogurts, full breakfast and nice that chef will take orders for eggs other than scrambled. Coffee from machine is good. Oh , and a range of juice as well. Gets the tank filled for the day so top marks. Nice restaurant looking over park."

"I like to say positive things about restaurants if at all possible, but there was much to complain about when we visited this small French-stye restaurant on busy Lygon Street. The service was absolutely appalling. Our order was taken shortly after we took up our booking, at 7:00pm. The glass of wine included on our Deals.com.au voucher was brought to the table, our order taken, and bread supplied before 7:20pm. A good start. Then we waited. We waited and waited! At 8pm my partner asked the waitress if our entree would come soon. "Of course it will come," was her reply. So we ordered another glass of wine (not included) and she brought us a white instead of the red we had specified!A young couple at the next table had come into the restaurant after us. They received both entree and main before we even had the first course brought to us. They could see we were agitated and told another waitress to please serve us! Ar last our entrees arrived - at 8:25 pm!!!Then another long wait for the mains. Yes, the small restaurant was full. And most diners arrived between 7 and 7:30, so the kitchen would have been busy. But we suspect our order had been 'lost'. The food itself? My lamb entree, two tiny cutlets that had been grossly overcooked, served on rocket, was very ordinary, as were my partner's meatballs. The squid-ink pasta for my main was delicate and flavourful, but there were only three prawns and four slices of calamari on top. The other main was a 'fillet steak' sauce on pasta - ok, but not memorable. Prices on the menu were approximately $15 an entree and $28 to $35 a main. Serves were very small, so the meals were not good value.Had we not pre-paid we would have left after waiting for over an hour. Needless to say we did not tip, and we will not be back!"
