"Visited the Spread Eagle at Rolleston 2wks ago. A nice pub, but oh dear, things started to fall apart very quickly. Arrive 12.55pm 6 people in the party (2 disabled). No issue with the access for the disabled, or the table either. The problems started when we sat down and ordered drinks....over 30 minutes later they arrived. Bad start! We then ordered food and oh dear...45 minute wait! (Possible short staff issues). Food was nice, but was quite expensive for saying it is mediocre pub food. 2 Hunter's Chicken ordered, but it was more a chicken burger type chicken than chicken breast. It was the long wait that did it. We try to go out for a lunch at least once a month to catch up on family affairs and have visited most of the pubs and garden centres around Etwall,Sudbury, Draycott, Hanbury, etc. I'm sorry it sounds negative regarding the Spread Eagle, but it was quite frustrating to be honest to wait all that time to be served."
