"Overall 4.5 out of 5! We absolutely loved our time here. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. I'm not going to lie it is definitely pricey but certain dishes were worth it! Our favourite dish was the flaming no1 special and the Hokkaido horenso scallops.<br/>The panacotta was silky smooth and the green tea creme brulee was subtle and beautiful! You could slightly taste the lighter fluid on top though. Would definitly come back"

"For the price we paid you would expect the steak to be perfect and the wait staff to come back and ask how everything is. Not here! But they did come back and say there was a problem after we paid. The problem being that...when we split the bill 3 ways, we had miscalculated and we had paid 70 cents short. Pretty pissed that we were never asked how the meal was and there was never a chance to rectify it and the 70 cents was requested. Again? Doubt it."

"A great selection of beers/wines/spirits. The service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The food was quite pricey and a bit slow. A nice place for people who are after a nice drink."

"I was impressed with the service as they were very friendly. I had the rump steak which was cooked Med-Rare perfectly at $15 (bargain). My wife had the barramundi which came with beans (more like baked beans) the fish was well cooked but the beans is a no no for the price on this particular meal and it really suitable. I don't want to slag this restaurant off as the overall experience was very good. The dessert was a lemon meringue which was nice but felt like it was a couple of days old?(could be wrong) I still ate it though and enjoyed it. I will go back again as the staff and ambiance was nice. The restaurant itself is very nice and spacious and big. I felt they insulted the waiting staff with specials as they were above that in their service. But then again how else can you get people to come in Mon-Thurs lunch without specials when you look at the competition in the city during lunch time hours mon-fri. Good value for money. Sorry to the chef if I was harsh on the fish & dessert but I can't lie."

"When Ananas was located at the rocks it was my all time favourite restaurant. The ambience and decor there was amazing and food top notch. Tried the newer location at circular quay on Friday night and left disappointed. Service was excellent, staff very attentive but that's where it ended. The decor is a bit typical, not at all like the previous one which was amazing, different and fantastic for groups. The food wasn't bad, but not great, especially as it's not a cheap restaurant. Starters were ok (snails and risotto), however each dish came out Luke warm. The fries was almost cold and seemed as though they had been sitting there. The side of Brussel sprouts (which is my favourite side at restaurants usually) was underwhelming. Very hard and undercooked with little flavour. The duck and beef cheeks were also ok, but again didn't come out very hot. We didn't have a terrible experience but it was mediocre given the let down with the dishes I wouldn't go again when... <a class="read-more" href="#">read more</a>"
