"Our waitress was super sweet and attentive! 3 of us went for happy hour and had a blast! Got the HH dip trio and I asked for veggies to dip along with the pita bread. My niece and I both got the gumbo and they have Louisiana hot sauce! Was really good, thick too. My pal got the steak noodle salad without the noodles and she said was really good! Was a big salad still even without the noodles. We’ll definitely go back! The HH drinks good price but I got a spicy Bloody Mary and it was great."

"We always make a reservation Haley had our table ready to go. We had the New England Manhattan Clam Chowders, the Crab and Sweet Corn Bisque, and the Fisherman's Combo. Elsa's service and the food was wonderful!"

"Bar Gumbo in the West End had New Orleans styled comfort food. I loved it, as did by partner. We tried a good selection of the menu before they had their refurbishment so we were excited to try it again. The restaurant is a lot brighter than it used to be and now serves lots of seafood and grill selection. It's a nice place to eat if in the area."

"In the city for jazz festival our party of 6 enjoyed a delicious dinner in Cornet before you listen to the street, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Our waitress was very patient with our many questions about the regional choices on the menu and very efficient to serve our meals in time. We all competed that dinner was one of the highlights of our NOLA culinary adventure that we would recommend Cornet to others. I hope to go back."

"We visited this establishment today on our second day in New Orleans. We seated ourselves and were promptly brought menus by our welcoming waitress. We ordered the strawberry lemonade which was delicious. For lunch we chose to split a plate of barbecue ribs, potato salad, and yams. The food promptly came out and was pretty tasty. The potato salad was definitely the best dish! After we were done, one of the waitresses even brought up our sack bag we forgot on the chair! I woulddefinitely recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. It is also a plus that it?s black family owned!"
