"We visited twice during a recent ski trip. I would recommend booking in advance in the morning to reserve an inside or outside table depending on the weather. For such a small remote mountain hut the quality of the food and cuisine generally is superb....We enjoyed pumpkin soup, plat du jours of lamb with peppercorn sauce, sausage, risotto valaisan and galettes. All excellent. Good selection of local wines, bottled artisan beers and biere pression. Friendly staff and service. We will back on our next visit."

"1st experience at Marenda, to eat a brisolée for 2. The chestnuts were great, as were the cheeses, 9 identified and regional types, the dried meat, ham and bacon were excellent and in very good quantities. With 2 types of bread including very fresh rye with nuts, plus butter, apples and local grapes. Bravo for this quality brisolée at a very reasonable price. The “chalet” decor is nice. There are sufficient parking spaces nearby The service was quick Mrs. Lorena do not hesitate to come and greet your customers at the table. I'll come back for a brisolée. Best wishes"

"A very unpleasant experience. Crêpes thin/meagre contents. Overpriced. Boss extremely rude. Menu clearly stated credit cards accepted however when presented refused! Boss mentioned that menu was being changed next day and would no longer state cards accepted. Looked days later and no change. Definitely...one to avoid, specially considering how delightful Bisse-Trop round the corner is!"
