"Sublime. This was the best lunch I have had in decades, never mind years. Fabulous food (I had the lobster ravioli, the Dover sole and the crepes suzettes), great wine list and a really lovely atmosphere. I really could not praise this restaurant more than I have, except to say if I could have given it 6 stars I would have done so!"

"I was a bit wary of this pub as it looks like one that serves basic pub type food. How wrong could I have been?! The atmosphere is not great, so if you want a quiet, intimate meal, then it's not for you. But if you want excellent food at even more excellent prices, then don't miss it. We had Hunters Chicken and it came up with chips and home made, really tasty coleslaw. We could have had one between two with the size of the portions but were good soldiers and ate the lot! It was well cooked, well seasoned and at £10 was fantastic value. Our guest had a burger that, unfortunately, was overcooked but when we were asked why she had left it and explained, it was taken off the bill perfect customer service. The sundaes for dessert were waist inducing and the Biscotti cheesecake was delicious. I live in Sudbury and really don't know why I am singing the praises of this pub because I really don't want too many people to discover it!"

"One boiled rice one egg fried rice, could not tell the difference so very little egg. Chicken curry, boiled to death chicken so tasteless, very pale curry, tasted watered down. Just tasteless chicken and a few mushrooms with predominantly onions. Prawn toasts had hung about a bit they were tough. Pancake roll was huge but just bean sprouts. Very greasy. Won’t be going again."
