"Down Home Cooking. Johnny Rebs' is one of those down home restaurants where you can get some real southern cookin'. It's a no frills/casual place where you can eat food and have sticky fingers afterwards. The decor is rustic with wood everywhere you look. Each table has a metal bucket of peanuts in the shell. You can crack them on the table and scoop the remnants on the floor. What a great place to make a mess at your table and it's expected. : The menu is mostly bbq for lunch and dinner with other Louisiana and southern dishes such as jambalaya, gumbo and catfish. Breakfast includes grits and biscuits with many of the dishes. I hear that the sweet potato pancakes are amazing and plan to go back one day for breakfast. On this trip I ordered the BBQ Bowl from the lunch menu. It came with a choice of pork or beef (I got the pork , which covers a pile of cajun rice and choice of black eye peas (this is what I chose or pinto beans and slathered on top with bbq sauce. In addition to this mounding bowl of food, you also get a choice of hushpuppies, cornbread, or a biscuit. I decided to go with the Swamp Water to drink (lemonade with iced tea . All in all, very tasty and very filling. Johnny Rebs' reminds me of all the food I can get back in Louisiana when visiting family. And when you come to Johnny Rebs' forget about any diet you're on, because this place is very anti-diet."

"I joined the wait list on Yelp, which helped as there was a line. There is only a few parking spots behind the building, we had to park down the street on Alondra. It is very small inside and the music is loud, too loud in my opinion. They have local art pieces on the wall for sale. Collectively we ordered the custard French toast with sausage patties, pancakes with bacon, short ribs w eggs, potatoes and side of fruit. We enjoyed all of the food which were large portions. I also ordered the iced coffee flight and a regular coffee. The staff was friendly and we did not have to wait long. The coffee as well as the flight were meh, wouldn't order again."

"There was a less then 5 minute wait to be seated when I got into the restaurant, once I was a waitress was at our table promptly and took my order for drinks and food, I got 'The Lumberjack ' which comes with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, homefries, bacon, sausage link, and ham, the food was very good, and a great place to eat in general."

"First time visit and it impressed. Got seated fast even though it looked busy. Food took a bit to get to us, but once it did, the food was great. Good size, good presentation and great taste."

"This place is located on a stripe shopping center of Bellflower Blvd and Alondra. From outside, this place is not impressive, we even thought it was out of business. But we entered, we were pleasantly surprised at the clean and modern furnishings. Even toilets are kept very clean. Food portions are large, in today's Post-Covid standards. Flavors of #mexican food were authentic and tasty. Try the Asada Chilaquiles plate when you are here. Swedish crepes are also delicious. Our host, Kaylee, was super nice and accommodating. This place is highly recommended."

"Worst place for a good to go food. They give so little. 2 pieces of bread with a sauce. I waited 30 minutes to get this food. You will regret coming here. I will never come back. Waste of time, gas and effort coming over here."
