"On a wet and windy day the tomato and basilikum soup was very welcome. a generous bowl with a lot of brown brot. very tasty. the only negatiw is that they don't pay with the card."

"Good service Helpful staff Enjoyed my lunch My wife is disabled, however she could not get into a disabled parking bay as you were allowing delivery drivers to use them. Why do you let them do this I was a little surprised to see a member of staff on their lunch break eating pasta that he had obviously brought with him. Does he know something we don't?"

"I am aware that our geographic survey in all edinburgh is not entirely what it could be and will be from where we tend to spend most of our time. So when there was an opportunity to lunch in polwarth, I jumped by chance. for the first time the queen vicky had suggested the piecebox that sounded good to me. I had visited one because the nearby odds ends, and I heard good dinge about streat hawker in the polwarth tavern, but that is otherwise quite unexplored territory for me."

"Our daughter who is a frontline Healthcare worker in Edinburgh is currently off work due to illness. We are in Ireland and are unable to take care of her. Friends of hers in Australia made contact with THE BLUEBIRD CAFE in Edinburgh and ordered the...most wonderful brownies and scones and they also sent a caring note which was personally delivered to our daughter’s apartment by a wonderful lady from THE BLUEBIRD CAFE. Our daughter was stunned with this wonderful surprise and gesture and it was an emotional morning for her. This caring thought and service gave her a huge boost in her time of need. We are extremely grateful to know that a business will still go such a long way in the current climate to bring hope and help to some one who needed a little care and support during their time of need. Well done and a big thank you to BLUEBIRD CAFE."

"Needless to say one of the best eggs benedict i ever had. The menu uploaded here needs a revamp as they have added few dishes. Eggs benedict with mozzarella,tomatoes and basil sauce PERFECT . They were more than willing to incorporate your request if u need any changes, i ask the ramen burger with a veggie twist which was not in the menu, however they obliged, unfortunately it wasn't that great. They made fresh vanilla cheese cake which was worth a try, pancakes was ok nothing great In the end, i would say this is an ideal breakfast place, i had been for lunch though !"

"Great little Korean restaurant with a short but tasty menu. Lovely dumplings to start and then a selection of their mains. The best was their fire chicken bibimbap. The glass noodles were lovely but needed more! Staff really friendly and welcoming and looked after our twins well! They even sent them away with a small snack! We’ll be back to explore more of the menu as I would like to try the kimchi pancakes. Thanks for a great meal!"

"I use to love coming here when I lived in the area but recently moved out of town. We recently came back to leith and we were excited to go back to the haven. I arrived at around 1515 when closing time was 1600 to grab a takeaway panini. When we came in, we were glared at by a member of staff who then went on to say they had stopped serving food but could offer cakes. This was massively disappointing as I feel they should make it more clear if they stop serving food so early before closing especially as some people do travel to visit here."
