"Nice little resteraunt with good outside seating and snuggle rugs for the cooler evenings. Theres a great view of the local church from here and it's great for relaxing and people watching. It's also good to have a look inside many of these places because the decor is amazing. The service was good with plenty of staff to take your order."

"We had a very lovely room with partial Seaview. The service was good, staff were kind and helpful and the location was absolutely brilliant. The breakfast buffet at the hotel wasn't special for a star hotel but it had the basics you would expect,...egg station, cold meats, fruit, bread selection, etc. The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants, supermarkets and shops (there is a small store opposite the hotel if you need water or other items). The hotel is situated in a quieter part of town but If you want to visit the old town/ main city centre, the cab ride is only about The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds, there is also a spa. Leenos is a great restaurant a few seconds walk from the hotel, which I would recommend if you don't feel like walking far for food one of the nights. If you want to book a taxi driver for airport drop off I would highly recommend Nuno Gomez; He was so lovely, spoke perfect English and we booked him for many return drop offs. He was informative and it felt like we had a tour guide with us. Definitely make time to visit the fishing village, you can have lunch there and a little walk around. There is no beach by the hotel or in Madeira and be prepared to walk up and down lots of hills. You can take a ferry hours) to Porto Santo and stay there for a night or two. Ferrys only leave at certain days of the week so make sure to check. The return ticket was around if I remember correctly only for the ferry but for something you can include a pick up and drop off from your hotel (we booked Nuno for return). Porto santo is absolutely amazing with sandy beaches and turquoise water. We only went for the day but wished we had stayed a night."

"The staff is very friendly and supportive. They can suggest and offer tailored dishes according to your preferences. The food itself (we had squid, espada/swordfish and other fish of the day, were all superb, so was the maracuja pudding). The atmosphere is super friendly and relaxed and the views from the terrace open up a little bit of the ocean, lush greenery and old rooftops of traditional houses nearby. Highly recommended."
