"Came here for a work Christmas party, and I must say.. I was blown away by the impeccable service! Very very impressed at how attentive, friendly and quick our wait staff were. Tables were cleared promptly each time someone got up for a new plate at the seafood buffet. Food was also delicious! The highlight was the unlimited seafood oysters, prawns and Crab (weeknight buffet not sure if there's more on a weekend). Buffet was well taken care of and always topped up so looked very attractive. Desserts were amazing too my fave was the massive creme brulee, and my mocktail was very tasty. All in all, I would highly recommend coming here and I will definitely be back!"

"Pancake stacks were relatively cheap which should have been a sign, the presentation was good however they tasted awful, no sweet buttermilk flavours and they were undercooked in the middle. Just tasted of raw batter. i wouldn’t go back, seems as though they are going to fast service rather than quality food"

"Wow....what a disaster. Went inside and ordered our food. 2 pasta dishes and a pizza. Was told that they'd be all ready to go in 15-20 minutes. 90 minutes later and with hardly anybody in the restaurant we got our food. Also witnessed another family...waiting for a similar length of time too. Would i recommend......DEFINITELY NOT!!!! On returning to our appt one of the dishes was cold and had to be reheated!!!"

"We started the meal with a shared entree of money bags. The pastry was lovely but the filling was vegetables straight from a frozen mixed vegetable selection direct from the supermarket - squares of carrot and peas - there was a tiny bit of something that looked like chicken in one. The vegetables were still a bit frozen. For mains I had Royal chicken - it came out heaped up - which seemed strange until I tried it and it was still partially frozen in the middle. I suspect it had been frozen and the round container had been up-ended on the plate and micro-waved. It was served with two deep fried corn chips which was the best part of the meal. My husband had beef massaman. The potatoes were large and soggy obviously having been boiled before being put in the sauce. The beef had an unusual texture and the sauce was quite tasteless.The environment for this restaurant is fantastic. We sat at a table on the sidewalk in a beautiful village environment. The staff were lovely although they couldn't speak English. The toilets were a long way away - needing to walk around the block to the back of the restaurant.I love good thai and unfortunately this is the worst thai food I have ever eaten"

"Starter; was deep fried quail which consisted of one bird which had definitely not been deep fried that day as it was dry and tough, not fresh. Piping hot, possibly microwaved? Main dish; Sechuan beef and fried rice in a Chinese restaurant. How difficult can...that be? The rice wasn't too bad. Though oily it was acceptable with prawn, pork and veg. It was okay with me but probably not to everyones taste. But the Sechuan Beef? Disgusting thick gravy-like sauce that was sweet and could well have come out of a supermarket jar! Definitely no Sechuan pepper or chilli in that dish! I complained to the manager who then began to try to tell ME that it wasn't sweet! Sent it back, paid for our drinks and starter and left.This place probably does survive on the tourist trade as a party of obvious tourists from asia and their guide arrived while we we seated.There are far better and cheaper Gold Coast Asian restaurants/ cafes who will willingly showcase their food and service in a better light than Ocean Seafood. The guides should consider taking tourists there, might even get a better deal. I won't be back......"
