"Ate at this restaurant on a local recommendation, it's located near the river and camp site. Looks a bit rough and ready and was told that it was basic French food, which is an accurate description. Nothing much else was open in Jarnac due to the season and the hour. Near a carpark so ample parking. Lots of French families eating here. Staff were very helpful, when we got stuck with an order, excellent English was spoken by one staff member. Service was very quick; ordered a pizza, one main and one salad with soft drinks and wine. Food came as large portions but was only mediocre in standard and taste, not really up to the standard we'd been getting elsewhere in France and not really great value. If you are after a quick meal in a location close to the river might be worth visiting but would not recommend."
