"This is a small but very pleasant restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient, with the waitress very happy to practice her English (she mentioned she lived in England for a year). It meant we could be happy practicing our low-level French with her. The menu, while not large, has a good diversity, so those wanting a full meal can sit happily beside someone wanting something lighter. This suited us perfectly was one was hungrier than the other. The dishes are fairly standard, but very nicely done. This is not pretentious food, but good, honest regional French cooking. Overall, a very pleasant experience, and one we hope to experience again in the near future."

"Passing for the day in Houlgate. We have lunch at this restaurant brewery pizzeria. Very good reception : 1st positive point. Installed inside with my wife, we first took kirs in aperitif. Then ordered 2 pizzas. Dynamic service reactive and polite and very smiling of the 2 employees in the room. Our pizzas were succulent. Really pizzaiolo hat that is the apparently boss of the restaurant. I loved that with minced meat, mozzarella mushroom cream: a delight. We finished with 2 delicious and well served iced cuts. On going to the counter, one of the employees in the room offered us a calvados as a sign of thanks: very nice surprise as a gesture. Thanks for your involvement and your sense of customer service to the whole team. We loved it. We will not miss having lunch or dinner at the patio during a next visit to Houlgate. Ensigns with a very good value quality price and a sense of customer service in simplicity and sincerity."

"The mussels were good, but big doubt about the freshness of the products: the fish n chips was certainly frozen, as well as the fries The cider bottle is sold €10.90 while you can find it in a small store just next to €4.9!!! I'm not recommending"
