"We are repeat visitors to the Colonel Williams and would not stay anywhere else! We so look forward to our visits, and each time we go we’re made so welcome by the owners who really cannot do enough to please their guests. The Inn is charming, warm and inviting and you will seriously not find a more delicious breakfast in Vermont. Victoria is the most amazing chef and will accommodate all your requirements. On our most recent stay we enjoyed warm chocolate chip muffins, steel cut oatmeal baked and served with pecan granola, fresh fruit, crispy bacon and chocolate chip pancakes especially for the children. Breakfast is included with the room. Comfortable and warm bedrooms with crisp luxury linens and Gilchrist Soames toiletries; a fully stocked bar; roaring fire; cozy lounge and entertainment; and the most friendly hosts…seriously what more could you need?"

"Our sever forgot about us. We waited about 15 min while I watched them help other tables and stand and talk to other servers and even all the other customers/ tables around us emptied out, then I finally was able to flag down another server to get ours. But the food didn't take too long and was very good."

"I was here twice with friends for brunch and enjoyed it every time. the atmosphere and decor is really sweet and cozy. They have a really funny and unique menu where they really play with mix flavors and toppings, and I love it. I had one of her Benedict for the first time, and the second her hot oats. One of my guilty eating pleasures is a good oat flakes, and that has not disappointed. It had a really good consistency, taste and toppings that all went really well together, and a generous portion that was enough to have as a meal. On the way out we sniffed a crumb cake to go, and it was delicious. Perfect ratio of many crumbs to just enough cakes. I hope my friends come here again and again because there are so many things I want to try, like the Ricotta toast."

"I have to be honest?STAX breakfast are unique, at least compared to most of the places I have tried. There are several options and blends between pancakes and omelettes. I got eggs with Filet Mignon, which tasted great. Never tried both together before. The Smoked-Salmon Son is off the hook, Id honestly order two of those next time. And, of course, the pancakes are to die for. Service was excellent. We were lucky enough to get a lady who attended to our needs in a very nice professional matter very quickly."
