"We did not stay at the hotel we went in for lunch. The restaurant was under staffed. We waited 25 mins for our drinks and to place out order. In total we waited an hour for our food. Locals came in and were greeted and served and we were blatantly ignored. When the waitress finally appeared I pointed out how long we had been waiting and she did not apologise she just told me she only had one pair of hands! When the food came the steak was rare even though I had asked for well done.I didn't send it back as I wasn't sure how long it would take to get it again. It was a good job I didn't because I could not cut it even with it rare. It was awful. When it came to paying I offered my card and they refused it even though they took cards. They insisted on cash. I did not have enough cash and they just pointed to the cash machine. I again offered my card for payment and the waiter swore at me! All in all the worst meal and service I have ever experienced. No apologies were forthcoming and the staff instead of being apologetic were just surly and rude."

"On a Monday night in early season we actually struggled to find food anywhere in town Mont Dore is not the gastro capital of Europe but as this place was open and relatively busy we tried it. We had good service from a hard pressed couple of guys, and food was not bad at all. Fairly simple but hot, fresh and tasty. Really this is more of a cafe than a restaurant but none the worse for that. If you need something quick and relatively cheap then give it a go. They have nice tables outside too if the weather is good enough."

"We came back to this restaurant that I discovered 39 years earlier and I could never forget. Of course, many things have changed since but last night I found the magic of the 1978 puy ferrand. an excellent meal, a high service and anything that can make you remember a restaurant after so many years. One regret if one should be found, the disappearance of the flagship dessert of the time: the puy ferrand crepes that were unavoidable and whose magic of the realization at the table by the hotel master of the time was a Michelin star. But you must not miss this restaurant, with or without the puy ferrand crepes, and the family that, from generation to generation, perpetuates the quality of this establishment, a single advice: continue!"
