"It's a bit tired and dated, but not from that, the staff and eating are great. many choices on the menu and they can eat as much as they want. great value for money and definitiw one to visit again. we didn't book and had luck getting a table. for a Tuesday night it was almost full. they can take their own wee and calculate a small fee. a great sound."

"Apart from the location, I would not recommend this place for vegans. It's just a pub with a few very basic vegan options. And it's quite unpleasant with no atmosphere as such. Cauliflower wing (not available I went) or falafel for beginners and vegan burgers and chips for main was all I could see on the menu. And the Bog Standard Sorbet as the vegan option for desert. How often did we eat falafel and vegan burgers with chips and sorbet? I had enough to keep me alive. The burgers and chips cost me £11 and I felt lousy after dinner. I paid £12 for lunch in Bonne Sante, that's right across, and her food was incredible and I felt great after dinner. I should have just gone back to dinner."

"At the back of Sherwell United Church next to the Sherwell Centre opening near Portland Square and with a large space inside and when fine weather tables outside some with a view of Drake’s Place Park. Open for three or four months on weekdaytimes using a big hall which at weekends and evenings is available for lots of other things. There is an open commercial sized kitchen and maybe a couple of dozen tables, friendly folk at the counter and although we came in mid morning the place is obviously bustling at lunchtime. They claim best coffee on campus but we had a pot of tea. I had the mushroom and salad falafel which was good and with the tea came to less than £6. It’s a light airy big room, interestingly set up with wooden fronted glazed first floor galleries looking down. I don’t know if we missed it but the lack of music or background noise did make the room feel just a bit late nineteenth century institutional. Would probably come back. They have a fairly upbeat FB page."

"Great food and service. Went on weekday lunch time and while quiet as expected, there were still people there and an atmosphere. Authentic Italian feel and excellent food. I had prawn in garlic and wine starter, then the seafood risotto and both were gorgeous. My companion had calamari and one of the veggie pasta dishes that was also well enjoyed. Lovely friendly people."

"My favorite place to eat lunch ,lovely polite staff,there food is always perfection and very generous portions too.They also sell alcohol if you prefer just a drink and chat.They serve great coffee too.Its lovely relaxed atmosphere.They let you take your time they never give the impression they are hurrying you away for the next customer. Great all round place to go ."

"This place has a great choice of amazing food. They also have a deli and do take away lunches. I’d recommend the ‘V bone’ steak and the cheese board! Even my meat loving brother loved it and that’s saying something!"
