"3 stars for dinner, 5 stars for dim sum. Average 4 stars.Dinner service was very short staffed with the waiters yelling to be heard.Asked for red vinegar 5 times and guess what? It never came. I can't eat Chinese food without it, soooo....yeah. Sad dinner. Also slow service at dinner meant we were there for 4 hours. O.m.g.And the 2nd course of the Peking duck was forgotten until we reminded them an hour later.But seafood was fresh,Peking duck crispy and light, veggies crisp, and sauces on point.Garlic wings and roasted green peppers were a favorite."

"The Sylvia Hotel and Restaurant is one of my fav places in Vancouver.I hosted a close friend to celebrate her birthday. We had a nice bottle of wine. The shrimp cocktail was excellent. My friend loved her salmon and my burger and fries were tasty. We shared a very delicious lemon tart for dessert.The server was very friendly and provided excellent service and all the staff were very hospitable.When you spend time in the room, you will be among other folks who you can tell love being there...it is a very special place to be and the staff are wonderful.I highly recommend this place to dine, drink and enjoy the sunset overlooking English Bay."

"If you have a passion for Montreal Smoked meat, then Dunn's on Seymour, just south of Robson is the place to go to in Vancouver. Authentic. The smoked meat is exactly what you'd expect from a Montreal deli, in your choice of lean, medium or very juicy (more fatty) cuts in either a 4 oz., 6 oz. or an 8 oz. serving. For me, I usually go for the 6 oz medium so I can combine it with either a side of their freshly cut fries, or a side of their wonderful potato salad. Their extensive menu hosts a range of other sandwiches, from pulled pork, to Rueben's, beef dip and more. You'd likely be intrigued by their offering of six different poutines, which start with their fresh cut fries and include their from-scratch beef gravy. I have tried the cheesecake and can attest that is is both authentic and very good."

"Had a groupon. Very nice ambience, with soft jazz in the background and water at the side to keep customers hydrated. Very friendly service; very helpful and efficient staff. I personally thought my latte was a great mix of caffeine and milk. Crepe was above average. I would have prefered my crepe a little more crispy but the quality was good and fresh and definitely satisfied my appetite."
