"Visited Manchester on a very busy Bank Holiday and struggled to find an eating establishment without very long waiting times . Then we found Cafe Metro and the place was practically empty. Alarm bells should've been ringing at that point! Ordered a grilled chicken ciabbata sandwich and a Minute Steak with mushroom and fries. A pot of tea for 1 and a Latte which is advertised as Lavazza. I drink a lot of coffee and my latte was truly awful in every conceivable way and most certainly NOT Lavazza. To say the place was empty,we waited an awfully long time for our food. There was another couple seated near us....2 obnoxious women who spent the whole time arguing and swearing at each other while one of them kept using the serviettes to stem the blood from her recently fitted belly button piercing. The dining area is depressing and dimly lit.Very tired and dated decor and absolutely zero ambience. When the food finally got served, my partner thought the chicken sandwich was OK but had a distinct taste of the oil it had been cooked in. My plate of food was really quite dreadful. Bland Oven chips,tasteless sautéed mushrooms and the worst steak I've been presented with for many a year.Fatty, full of gristle and overcooked to the point where it was almost impossible to cut. Total bill came to £23 which I felt was poor value for money and we will definitely not revisit anytime soon."

"I've seen some comments about missing items. I ordered a waffle with whiter and came back with a brown chocolate cream. I asked the waitress and said that they looked whiter. they could have warned me, I'm a relaxed person, so I didn't disturb much, but I didn't cost it at all and couldn't finish it so my wife had everything. my wife enjoyed her order so we went back in the following week and I got another order and loved it!. it is a great place, very quiet, clean and spacious. great staff, but only need this little attention to the details on the accommodating. planning for more regular visits."

"Visited at 7pm on a Friday for eat in. Restraunt was cold, food was good but service was slow, said they were busy but we were the only people upstairs. Thought it was very overpriced at £250 for 6 people including 2 drinks each. Cobra lager £8:90 a pint. Not somewhere I will go again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"If someone would have asked me a month ago, is there an ice cream parlour in Wigan that serves home made vegan ice cream in a variety of flavours? . I would have replied that they must be joking! In actual fact there is and the ice cream is amazing, the last time we went they had chocolate, biscoff, Oreo, Vego bar, Cherry and Champagne and Strawberry vegan ice creams. These seem to change pretty regularly too. 10/10"
