"Ordered online for takeaway, received confirmation for 25 minutes pick up. Arrived 5 minutes late (so 30 minutes after order time) and order wasn't ready. I had to wait another 20 minutes before my order is ready. Lucky the food is absolutely delicious and almost made it ok to wait nearly an hour for the order to be ready. Staff was also friendly and apologetic about the wait. I would definitely give 5 stars for everything if I only had to wait 5 minutes extra. I would also give 5 stars for everything if I was told from the get go that it'll be a 50 minute wait or if I at the very least get a call after ordering to inform me that the wait is gonna be much longer and if I still want to keep my order. So bottom line is, don't order if you're starving. Otherwise, go for your life. The food is really yummy!"

"Dinner on a Saturday night. After reading other reviews I selected this restaurant in front of others in the area. Others have described the intimate setting and family friendly nature well but I disagree on a lot of other points. In a nutshell I felt like we'd gone back in time to the 1970's when Asian cuisine was new to the naive Australian palette. The food, whilst beautifully presented and embued with appropriate texture strangely lacked flavour. It felt like inauthentic Thai built for Australians. I had veg. springrolls and a country salad and my companion moneybags and the sizzling scallop stirfry. Nothing amazing, salad was like a Gado Gado complete with tinned pineapple, and the sizzling plate didn't sizzle. The decor is tacky a weird row of chairs lines the walk way to the toilets behind the kitchen. Service friendly and prompt but some problems with English. Price hurts $82 for two excluding drinks. Vegetarian options good. I like supporting local business and the experience was entertaining so on those grounds recommend giving it a try. Score out of 5. Food: 0.4 Drink: 0.3 Service: 0.8 Ambiance: 0.4 Price: 0.2 2.1 rounds down to 2"

"Wow what a venue... Very fa.... Wow what a venue...<br/>Very family friendly with all the open space. Food wise I found was average price but the quality was high. I had the lamb shank. Very tasty dish. And they have the best crackling on their pork belly dish."

"Chooks and Chips is the go-to place in town for the best gluten-free chicken, salads, and burgers. They make food that tastes amazing and is super high quality. The chicken is so nice and healthy the salads are fresh and yummy, and the burgers are simply delicious. If you want top-notch gluten-free food that's packed with flavour, Chook and Chips is where you should go – it's the best in the area! Food: 5"

"Great little local spot, delivering authentic Malaysian favourites like Char Hor Fun, Char Kway Teow and Laksa just to name a few. Small and cosy with some big and small tables to cater for different sized groups be warned very popular on the weekends so booking is a must if you are planning to have dinner here. Takeaway also very easy and painless if you simply want to take home as well. Parking can be a little tough but there is plenty of side streets around to park if needed. *Update* 3 years on from my initial visit this place is still killing it. With the same high level of quality and high value for money meals Jade Kingdom still remains one of the best in Preston. Standout dish was definately the Buddha Yam Basket with Cashew Chicken which reminded me of my parents favourite dish to order in Malaysia every big family meal out."
