"I love Lower Lonsdale restaurants but I was really surprised how I never saw this one. We enjoyed the vibe, the service and the food. Burger patties are in-house made which makes it delicious and jucy. Crispy chicken and beef carpaccio were really good as well. The downside was that washrooms were downstairs with lot of stairs which was not very desirable."

"Amazing food and Amazing Service. Went there for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. The server behind the cash register was not the most helpful, but the other servers on the floor and walking around were very polite and nice. Overall we will go back for sure!"

"Believe the hype! The donuts really are that good. Best glazed donut I have ever had, by a long shot. The brioche donuts are very fluffy and delicious. The spicy chicken sandwiches are super yummy as well, along with the macaroni salad and the slaw! They have some crazy delicious mayo or some type of sauce used for the dressing that makes these salads much better than average. I got there a few minutes before they opened on a Wednesday morning, just one person was in line ahead of me. They were prepped and ready to go with lots of chicken and donuts, I only had to wait about 5 minutes for my hot food to be ready. Definitely check this place out, it's worth it. Excellent and very friendly service from the staff there as well."

"When I found this place I thought that I'd died and gone to heaven. I've eaten burgers in every chain possible here and around the world. If I wasn't addicted to Teen burgers it's the only burger place in N. Van. that I'd eat at. Love the thin crispy patty. Love the mind boggling choice of dressings and toppings. I load it up and love it."

"Began with a spicy fried beef salad with a lovely subtle soy and sesame vinaigrette dressing and a split pea and ham soup. Generous salad portion, fresh crisp greens and crunchy coated, melt in your mouth, beef strips. Soup was very good, but for my taste needed a touch of salt and more ham pieces. The menu changes daily and is quite varied. They had run out the chicken special by the time we ordered.Main was beef bourguignon again with generous portions of delicious beef that fell apart on the fork. Small potatoes and vegetables were done perfectly and the whole dish was very tasty and not mushy like some dishes elsewhere. Red wine flavor was evident but not overpowering adding an extra note to the overall dish. The generous portions left no room for dessert. The wine list was certainly decent with a nice cross section of prices.Serving staff were very busy as the place was pretty well full. Some like to have servers hover, however I like time to converse and enjoy without a lot of interruptions. Servers were pleasant and quick on requests. It is a cozy atmosphere with some booths and mostly tables. You can see right into the kitchen and watch preparation if you like. I would say mid range for pricing, definitely a step up from regular establishments in that area."

"Went to Altitudes Bistro on October 8, 2021. Restaurant was not busy and the only occupied tables were the ones by the window with the view of the mountain. We told the hostess we were willing to wait for one of the tables by the window and she stated they do not reserve specific tables for parties. We were seated in the middle-side section instead. Two minutes later, one of the tables by the window becomes available (pending clean up). We attempt to flag a hostess to ask, but there are only 1 or 2 servers working. When we are finally noticed, the server 's response is this: She 's standing at the bar, turns her head around and shouts 'No switching allowed! ' across the room, loud and clear enough for the entire restaurant to hear (We didn 't even ask her a question). Very blunt and an inappropriate way to speak to anyone. We wait at the table for clarification and they reiterate that switching is not allowed due to COVID protocols and tells us she 'll bring her manager to further explain. Manager arrives and gives the same explanation. She did not seem to care. She advises us that if we want a table by the window, we would have to line up again and hope there is one available. The reason we cannot switch to the available table right now is because it is already 'reserved ' for the next customers in line. Poor wording choice, considering they also told us they cannot 'reserve ' tables for parties, but the dismissive and discourteous manner of the manager and hostess staff already rubbed us the wrong way. We left afterwards (service was slow and we placed no orders anyway). Saw enough unprofessionalism in the 20 minutes spent in this restaurant. Will not be returning to Altitudes Bistro or recommending it to family and friends. We ended up eating at the cafe downstairs and sat at a table with a view of Grouse Mountain for cheaper prices."

"The food was really good, casual spot. I'd reccomened going with less spice than you think. I like spice and I got a level 5, it was a bit more than I expected and I'd go with a 3 next time."

"It was as if you went into the warmest house, it was a large family, eating was unrealistic. the server was incredible. I was so happy to leave there that I gave a hug to all wonderful women and the men a handshake. I'm never so happy after the breakfast, didn't stop smiling from the moment we went into the door. this is my first assessment, because I felt the need for this place to be visited by everyone. this will be the first time on the list of places they visit each time vancouver."
