"After being stiffed by this restaurant I boycotted this restaurant. Upon the insistence of friends I accompanied them to King's for dinner. We were a party of 8 persons and had totally forgotten that the King's offers their soup of the day and a 1/4 chicken gratis with the purchase of 3 entrees. Instead of suggesting that the free items could be redeemed upon our next visit we were promptly informed (AGAIN) that the promotional offer is only valid if the patron requests the offer (what nonsense). So this time we advised the Tina (the owner's wife/server) that given that she did not request a gratuity NO TIP IS FORTHCOMING."

"Worst and worst taste, no source, spices or flavour, saving materials but charging customers more for the item price increase. Even home cooked Lin Cod is better than that, not fresh for sure, no flavour no freshness taste. The noodles like left over heat up, taste like an old plastic. Not worth spending, even any small restaurants cook better delicious food than this."

"Came here for food and whiskey. We were not disappointed. We got sharables and a few rounds of whiskey. The food was all excellently prepared. Not a lot of options for the gluten allergic member of our group but some so he didn’t go hungry. An unbelievable selection of whiskeys and the bartender has a lot of knowledge to help select one you will like."

"I have ordered from James on Hastings twice in the last few weeks. I have never been there before but decided to try it as it is close to where I live. On both occasions, I ordered the hot and sour soup to go. The first time, I ordered the small size. I loved it so much, I ordered the large size the next time. The small size was about $11.00 and the large size was about $16.00. The small size was in one large plastic container. The large size has two plastic containers, one small and one large. The service was very quick and the staff were friendly. If you drive, there is limited parking in the parking lot as it shares it with the other businesses but there is plenty of parking in the street. I will definitely go and try the other selection of dishes in the future."

"Needless to say ,this only restaurant for dim sum in Vancouver can hold over 1,000 people and also the biggest Chines restaurants in N, America , during the 80's , waiting time in the week end well over one hours , since they change the...ownership few years ago ,business slowly going down hill ,and with the current pandemic ,it make it worst ,all the banquet have to cancelled ,their banquet business is less 80% for the restaurant income ! since their re open ,business struggling to stay afloat , diner no one around !only keep the business afloat is early dim sum for local worker , and lunch ,poor quality ,it is old style dim sum , big portion , lot of MSG , but service still not too bad ,we have our office lunch to day ,it seems the girls love all the dishes , lot of left over ! over all it is average old dim sum house ! nothing more or nothing less .the safety plan nicely done ."
