"Came here for the first time a few months ago and had a really good meal. I would describe her menu as a kind of comfort food plus gourmet elements. I was there for her “Lobster Fest” speciality (accelerating to the anniversary of the restaurant). The elections for the Hummer Special Prix Fix were almost the same as the current Jan Feb dineLA options. Here I have: TUNA TARTARE (Tunatare with soot, capers, chives and lemon on smoked salmon): This was a light, non-fat yet satisfying appetizer, a surprisingly fresh takeover of the pass tuna fish tars. I've never had tuna tars in combination with smoked salmon, and the pairing was pretty good. They also came with thin slices of cucumber, which add a freshness and with some crostini, on which to add tartaric acid and salmon. LOBSTER TAGALLINI PASTA (black ink tagallini pasta with lobster pieces with tomato mushroom in a lobster vodka sauce): That was the highlight of the meal. I love ink paste, and this dish for me was great. The combination of tomatoes and mushrooms in the lobster vodka sauce gave a delicious contrast to the “quadratiness” of the pasta without overwhelming the taste of the noodles. Unlike so many places, they not the pasta with sauce, but only slightly coated every strand of noodle. Also, the hump tubers were huge and very satisfying. I felt like eating two seafood, as the combination of pasta and lobster was so hearty! FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE: This was the “basic” from all dishes, but it was a solid finisher anyway. I liked the fact that it wasn't too sweet. Service is also very friendly, and there is a park structure (I think only a few bunks) over a block and a half away. Oh, and $2 corkage! All in all, thumb to Cafe Bizou, if for nothing else than the black ink paste!"
