"This busy patisserie is the closest thing to an American style coffee shop that I encountered during my trip to France. Paul is located in the heart o the city and is very convenient to stop in for a sweet. The interior space is intimate with seating, and is a great place to sip a hot coffee on the cold winter evenings in Strasbourg. Baked sweets are in large glasses cases and breads are behind the counter. Ordering works just like at home pick out what you want, order, and they'll bring it to your table. It was frigid on the evening I visited and the hubby and I needed a spot to warm up and rest our feet after miles of walking. Mostly locals were inside, and the employees were kind enough (but still had the very French attitude). They're not necessarily being rude, it's just that their customs are different from ours at home. And that's okay, because you should travel to learn about other cultures, not to be coddled with what you're used to. We ordered an espresso and a chocolat Viennois, which is Paul's version of a hot chocolate like you'd find in the cafes of Austria. My espresso was served with a proper chaser of sparkling water to cleanse my palate. I grabbed a baguette to go to take back to the hotel with a bottle of Bordeaux and some fresh butter from the market next door to have as a midnight snack. The baguette was fresh and crusty, but I've never had a bad bite of bread in France. Paul has sandwiches, pastries, breads, and all sorts of hot drinks. It's an easy and quick place to take a break."

"The patisseries and sandwiches are beautiful fraicher. The staff is very kind and effective. It's a nice place to take a snack before a train trip. Cheese ham sandwich correct a bit thicker slice of ham would be fine. Good lemon pie. Lunch prices sandwich dessert all made correct"

"There is lots of chocolate places in this city, and many more temples where to get a lot of hip gold for your future to carry with you, and they are all worth it.Christian is exceptional though. First of all, if you happen to go down to the lop, you'll find one that might not have been more eclectic than at Liberaces villa back in Las Vegas, only without the chi-chi (kitch!). Lots of marble and fine interiors, even at the urinals...must see (if you are a man reading this, I haven't been to the woman's!).But now, the icings and the cakes, simply delicious. I had Tarte Citron and my friends AppleStrudel, both to die for. Either take way or sit down at the cafe to enjoy..."
