"A beautiful Japanese-inspired vegan bakery. I tried a lot of things. Standouts included raw cheesecake, lemon tart, and what I think was a banana tart or pie of some kind. I also ate a scone (ok), sliced chocolate bread (very good), adzuki bean buns (very good), tiny little shortbread cookies (amazing) and salted crescent rolls (amazing). Worth a trip just for dessert and crescent rolls."

"It is rare to find all bakeries with more than one vegan item in taiwan, and this specific location of yihetang (or they goofily spell it with some non-standard Taiwanese system of romance that I refuse to use) is 100% vegan. they even make the caption sea salt butter of the chain with soybutter croissant. Unfortunately, like other Taiwanese bakeries, their bagels are only bagel-shaped broth, not real bagels. they have baked, broth, desserts and soy milk. go sooner rather than later on the day for the best selection. enjoy the Japanese service where they are greeted when entering and are recognized during their departure. — I've been hitting more recently than hits. for example, the sweet potato cheese bread was mostly fluffy brot with some small pieces of sweet potatoes and no cheese to show. similar experiences with their pizzabrot. it is disappointing to be deceived in thinking, it becomes more to their products than just broth. at this price point they would think that it is more to their products. Moreover, almost everything has the same fluffy texture, even if it is a baked good that should not be (e.g. cake, croissant, bagel, pineapple beer). it is nice that they have started accepting credit cards and they sell their own soy milk, but in plastic bags."

"Ahhh, vegan bakery in Taipei! The idea is fantastic, the execution also has its pros, but not everything works as it should. But let's make it step by step. The place is small, you can put cakes and rolls yourself on a tray, and then eat them on site or take away. On-site rolls can be eaten at one of two small tables. Unfortunately, you can feel a bit strange, because often one of them is occupied by the service. It also happened once to me that both tables were taken by them. There is no bathroom, so you can't wash your hands before eating and you need to go to a public toilet about 100 meters away. On the other hand, when I took the rolls for take-out, before I realized what had happened, the staff packed three rolls each in a separate plastic bag, and then all three into another maybe vegan, but not ecological. Let's get to the sweets. Cinnamon roll is the best one. Although not as good as in most European countries, there is not much to cling on to. Some other rolls are also quite tasty, but most are too dry. They lack some filling, coating, something more specific in taste. Asian countries are not known for their tasty sweets. Hence, no one will bring rather beautiful memories for a lifetime, but on the other hand it is one of the best vegan bakeries on this continent where I ate, hence the positive rating. The prices are also very reasonable."
