"Loved this cute little bakery, which gave off the neighborhood vibes and not a big box name bakery/coffee shop. It is a little small on the inside, so just plan accordingly if a large crowd comes inside and you were planning to dine inside. All of the pastries were to die for, and the coffee was also delicious."

"Were were meeting up with a relative who lives in Victoria and recommended this diner. we had to wait a few minutes to get a seat. the place is quaint with many celebrity photos on the walls. The server was keen and friendly. My wife...and I ordered the BLTA. That's a BLT with avocado slices. Really good. Big sandwich! It also came with a tomato vegetable soup which was very good. I'd certainly go bac although the prices were a bit higher than expected. Must be expensive real estate."

"The choice brunch joint in downtown Victoria! On our way for a South West Island retreat on a Thursday, we made a stop at the Ruby on Johnson around 10am and despite a brief line, were seated within 10 minutes (party of 2). We were immediately enthralled with the quaint and comfortable homestyle aesthetic and CCR album playing over vinyl. The food and service was even better! Our server, Lauren, served us the Mexican Eggs Benedict and the Traditional Eggs Benedict (with gluten free modifications). Food was absolutely delicious and downright filling. We'll certainly be back for round 2!"

"We ran across this place on accident while looking for a place to eat an early lunch. This bakery had all sorts of quick lunch items. We tried a quiche, ham and cheese croissant, and the Greek salad. All were delicious. The soup and sandwich I saw also looked good. We went back to the counter for dessert and had a Nanaimo peanut butter bar that tasted like fudge. The woman behind the counter was nice about my butchering the pronunciation of Nanaimo. If we ever go back to Victoria we would go back to this place."
