"Where do we begin? From the minute we walked in to the minute we left i don't think I've ever experienced such terrible service. Shinbashi pretends to be an authentic Japanese Yakiniku but it's lack of service standards and quality of food completely let it...down. To begin with we received our coal bbq and a selection of prawns, squid, mushrooms and pumpkin. We placed these on the plate waiting around 15 minutes for them to cook, however due to the low heat of the coal the items were not cooking. We asked for some additional coal, and the staff came back with an additional order of meat and some coal. The host then proceeded to berate us for placing vegetables and prawns on the coal, not meats as these were fatty and would have helped to burn better, despite the fact that we didn't receive these until we complained about the low heat! We were met with delayed orders, mixed up orders, and constant checking with staff to see if we were able to be served all under their 90 minute food rule. At one stage we had to wait 25 minutes for a selection of meats this was after asking the staff twice what was happening! I understand how a busy restaurant can work, however the lack of engagement by management with staff and guests has clearly left a lot to be desired. Stay away. There are soooooooooo many better options around."
