"On the search for something roman to lunch on Friday led us meat press. we had the luck to get there shortly before midday and there were several seats. we ordered and packed a small table in front of a big baptism customer. this. place is popular! my wife ordered the Cuban bowl with potatoes and bruise sprouts while I ordered the smoked meat sandwich. next time. I'm going to the bowl. both meal times were excellently stacked with meat, and more than enough! we did not try the local soda or craft beer, but the free water was just the right one to lunch. will definitiw back"

"As my mother-in-law used to live at the other side of Baseline Road, I've been coming here for some 25 years. And I live in the Netherlands...The food is, without exception, the best that Canadian Kitchen has to offer: full breakfasts that can keep you going in winter.Burgers to die for and chicken wings to kill for. And well-priced beers to maim for."

"We had the turkey club and rustic chicken panini's and a side order of deep fried dill pickles. All were amazing! The buns the panini's were made on were delicious amd the sandwiches were huge. We probably could have split one. Service was great and the gentleman working very friendly. Will definitely go back! They also serve beer and wine which is always a plus!"

"We came to this restaurant in their early years and we really enjoyed the authentic Cuban food. This year we had the opportunity to come back and we were quite impressed to see that the restaurant has been upscaled with the warm Latin decor and the beautiful presentation of the dishes. Chef Oslaide has done a wonderful job in taking his restaurant and food to a higher level with the plating, taste and quality of the authentic Cuban dishes. The traditional Ropa Vieja, which is stewed shredded beef cooked with tomatoes, onions and pepper, was very tasty. The Cerdo asado sliced slow roasted pork was nicely seasoned bringing back memories of home cooking. Finally, the Pescado al Ajillo was Bass Fillet in garlic tomato sauce was delicious. "Though I found that the prices were high, for pretty much soups, sandwiches and salads, I liked the location. I would have be satisfied if the presentation, service and quality made up for the cost. Unfortunately they did not. I attended twice and both times, I was unimpressed.The sandwiches consisted of a two leaves of Romaine lettuce, (which wilted quite quickly) and the sparse contents of ingredients. When cut open, they were quite disappointing.The unusual combination of items seems to be the justification for the elevated prices. The creative sandwich combinations do have potential, but unfortunately they lack substance and quantity, considering it's more of a take-out than sit-in establishment and the inflated prices. The hospitality of the back cook is quite lacking as well. His body language says that he is annoyed and bothered that you place an order, instead of taking a pre made one. On both occasions, it looked like a two year old had wrapped my sandwich. I'm not sure if it was out of spite for making him work or lack of know how. I feel the success of a restaurant can be measured by recommendations; unfortunately I could not in good conscience suggest eating lunch here to my colleagues. Positives- Soups are homemade and The Chicken orient Salad is fantastic!"
