"It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. My wife and I have eaten at Isaac@ three times and have never been disappointed. The last occasion was on 16th August for the evening sitting and we are sorry that these are the restaurant’s final days before the brigade goes on to pastures new. On arrival, we were asked about allergies, my wife said that she is allergic to cinnamon and was asked if it was ok for her to be in a restaurant where cinnamon is used. We said that it wasn’t a problem, unless it was to Christmas mulled wine level but, joking apart, it was nice to be shown that level of concern. So to the food. To start we had Nutbourne tomatoes and cucumber with a Saddlescombe lamb meatball, the main was Trenchmore beef with red pepper and charred padron peppers and, for dessert, Isaac@‘s take on Scones with strawberries and cream. Every course was a delight and the effort and care that had gone into producing the plates was evident. The aroma coming off each plate was so wonderful, because of the delicacy of the sauces and the little touches of foraged food, that we just had to take that in before eating it. Each course was paired with a wine, as with the food, all locally sourced. To start we had a light, refreshing sparkling wine, followed by a very drinkable red and, to go with dessert, a cider. With each course we were informed about everything we were eating and drinking and the staff were courteous and knowledgable throughout. Finally, we would like to thank Isaac@ for all the culinary experiences we have had and wish them all well for the future."

"I did not read the reviews until after ordering. I'm glad about it because the service was great, eating even better. delicious hot food, full of taste and beautifully cooked. the negative reviews must be an act of sabotage, they certainly not the wonderful experience we had. I 100% recommend this place and will return definitiw. 31 December 2020, we ordered our nye withdrawal, something lacking in delivery, we arranged, it was at our door under 20 minutes later. everything was delicious again, even 5 reviews from us. from here we will continue to order our Ausreißer-Curries. 10. feb 2021, only ordered again, we eat from this place about once a night, always delicious and fast delivery of hot food."

"We were a family of 4 adults and 2 children for Sunday lunch. Booked on line for a table in a booth not knowing what that would be but thought it would contain the children a bit! We were actually initially seated on 3 small round pub tables pushed together in the main bar next to the door to the garden area. It would have been ok but there was quite a breeze and the door was propped open. Outside were what I assume are the booths I think 3 wooden huts/ cabins are all set up with one big table inside for a group. We were told we could have one of these if no reserved sign so we did! Don’t know why we weren’t put there in the first place but…"
