"The outside dining area was great on a nice, sunny, and breezy Sunday. That was the highlight of this experience. The food however, would do wonders with more improvement. I ordered the Bo Kho (Vietnamese beef stew) with noodles. The broth tasted good after a couple sips but it is just too rich and thick for my tastes, if it was soupier and lighter it could?ve been perfect. The vermicelli noodles with beef was okay. The taste lacked so we needed extra chili sauce and nuoc mam (Vietnamese fish sauce) . Server was friendly and it was a nice ambience. Even though I felt a stomachache after eating, I would give this place another chance to see if my impression changes. I think Americans/foreigners that aren?t familiar with Vietnamese food would like/love it, but me being Vietnamese, my expectations are high for our cuisine."

"We ordered garlic shrimp pasta and it was very delicious. We were there at 9:30 and they were still open. The green tea was good, but a little sweet. Other than that, the food was delicious and good amount of portions. We like it so much."

"Service was good. Waiters were very attentive. Helpers where always around to clear dirty dishes and fill the waters/drinks. Lots of employees working which is a good thing. Food was decent, 7 out of 10 in my opinion."

"Great food and great surroundings. If you are not comfortable to be many people during the pandemic, then this cannot be the best place for you. It's gonna be full. However, they take security measures such as wearing masks and plexiglass."

"My experience in playa mesa was so much fun! we loved everything we ordered, and our server josele was the best! he was honest what our experience in playa mesa has done as well as it was! we ordered the birria tacos and carne asada steak tacos and both were delicious! on Monday they said that margaritas are $8 and are made with fresh fruit. we will definitely come back!"

"To say that I love sushi just might be an understatement and I must admit that Wafu of Japan has to be the best sushi I've had in a really long time! I love that Wafu has some very unique and different kind of sushi specialties. They have many rolls that you can order without the rice, the fish is always fresh and I don't know how they do it but the rice literally taste like butter! The rice is textured but not hard and grainy. I also must share that Wafu of Japan is so good; I once ordered lunch through Grubhub and had it delivered which is not always a good idea when ordering sushi but Wafu of Japan did not let me down and packaged it perfectly and provided me with everything that I needed to have the best sushi experience as if I ate at the restaurant; it was unbelievable! I will note that the parking is pretty bad and you may have to wait to get a park. I also would suggest for you to make reservations if you're able to do so as the restaurant is pretty small and always very busy! Lastly the service is just as good as the food! I have never met anyone there that didn't have the most pleasant personality and always go above and beyond to provide you with exceptional service!"
