"It's worth taking a walk out to this end of town and go beyond La Victoriana all the way to the lake for a pleasant day in Guanajuato. The cafe is in a, rare for Mexico, art nouveau residence. This area is a little more...upscale with nice parks and landscaping but fewer people. You have a choice of sitting in the cafe, on the front porch or down a stairway in an alley space. The alley space is very nice and peaceful and the tables near the front of the house are very relaxing. I had an azteca soup, Nutella crepe, and an espresso. I tend to drink a lot of alcohol because of the lack of interesting things to drink most places, but this place had a drink called La Favorita that was cucumber juice, agave nectar, some fruit, and a touch of piquin chili. So good, I want one now. Nobody here seemed to speak English but I used a translate app to read the menu."
