"I work in the area and want to learn more about local restaurants. I don't understand why food, like in any other Asian restaurant, costs more here than everywhere else. I paid about 30 for lunch with a tip, and I got a can of Coca Cola and not a glass of Coke and with the option to refill. I think this is not right. In the most ordinary restaurant they give you a large glass of cola, but here for 30 one can. They also forgot about half of my order, and I had to wait for the second course after I ate the first course."

"Very spacious sushi joint with plenty of choices. It's a very popular spot in Old Town Monrovia. I always see this place jam packed whenever it's open. I only tried three items so far, but they were all pretty solid. Brussels Sprouts were pretty good. Didn't taste much different from other places but was cooked just right and had the right flavors (garlic, olive oil, soy sauce glaze). Yuzu Scallop Carpaccio was refreshing and tasty. It's four pieces of jumbo scallop cut in half and served on top of cucumber with yuzu ponzu sauce. Scallops had a smoky flavor so it seemed like they were torched/seared. Mikomi Poke Bowl was massive, and was reasonably priced at little under $23. It came with mixed sashimi with imitation crab meat, spicy tuna, onion, masago, seaweed salad, greens, and sushi rice. Sauce choices are ponzu mustard, garlic sesame, and house spicy. Service was quick and efficient even though my family and I came during peak lunch hour."

"Disappointed in my experience here. I ordered French toast with the fruit on the side and a torta without beans. When we got our order we realized none of our requests had been honored. Other tables got their orders with their customizations on their foods, so we were confused on why our order wasn't correct. My torta also came with fries that were heavily salted. It took about 25 minutes to get our order. I was hungry so I tried to scrape the beans on so I wouldn't have to wait for a new one. We also noticed that the cashier asked each table except ours how the food was. Probably saw me scraping the beans off and knew we were unhappy. Overall the food was not worth the price."
