"We were in Oakridge Centre to shop for a watch and decided to enjoy dim sum at the Peninsula seafood Restaurant. Dining at the Peninsula is more comfortable than the food court. The dim sum was par for the course but the staff was not...as proficient as would be expected for this caliber of restaurant."

"We should go to a food truck event, but landed here and it was such a pleasant surprise. The staff was wonderful and the food, oh my God. The food was great! I have eaten a vegan mushroom risotto for the longest time, but most places here do it with Heave Cream. I could ask it without cheese and it came with the perfect consistency, texture and taste. You have more than just a few vegan options and my husband had a delicious vegan pasta that he was very satisfied. Of course, they have other options, and our non- vegan friends were thrilled with the taste and dish portions. The place is beautiful and beautiful, and the prices are very good for service and experience as a whole. Definitely recommend going there, you will not regret it! And if you go, get the Risotto. I'll be back."

"The restaurant is not huge but it has personality! This incredible mural is painted along the back wall separating the diners from the kitchen. The decor is simple but classy with a touch of foodie fun. Their Happy Hour deal is quite incredible. You get three items off their eight-item menu for just $12. What a fantastic deal.I got their Prawn & Pork Salad Roll with their peanut sauce. I LOVE that peanut sauce. OMG, delicious!!! Everything was so fresh and clean, no MSG…If this is the mini Pho, I can not imagine how big the regular Pho must be! I added the garnishes, lime juice and then tasted a spoonful and knew there was something missing. Usually when I order Pho, it is take out and there are all these little sauces you add. I asked my server what I was missing. A NEW sauce! They have a SPICY hoisin for the Pho. Oh yeah… Much better! I did not find it super spicy, just incredibly flavourful and exactly what the Pho needed.I ordered the pork spring rolls but many of these appetizers had vegetarian options. These are available in veggie and tofu. Dipped in their dip-able fish sauce (which still blows my mind that they created such a genius foodie product) it made these crunchy treats a little funky in the best of ways. "Not my choice for poke, would not recommend this place, especially with so many great poke options in Vancouver! I took my boyfriend here because we didn't want to go into downtown, I was really disappointed because it was his first poke experience, and they were really stinjy with their portions and toppings. They only give you 3 or 4 toppings for free, they charge for extras that should be basic and barely give you a scoop of tuna/salmon. The server actually filled a scoop up and took some out of it because it seemed too full... okay? Luckily I took my bf to the Poke Guy on Richards and now he knows why I'm obsessed with poke!My advice: walk/drive/bike the few extra mins to the Poke Guy on Richards, unlimited toppings, generous scoops... you won't be disappointed!!"
