"I?ve been coming here for years. Started in grande prairie 15 years ago then St. Albert now this one being the only one in Edmonton. I went yesterday the veggies , wrap meat quality has gone down if I wanted frozen food I?d do it my self? very sadmiss the old quality"

"Ordered last night and food was huge let down, the veggies were soft, the pork dumpling was so salty could not eat it, the pork was fatty that was in the house special greens, the honey garlic ribs were pieces of dried out pork dripped in sauce, all around disappointed and for the cost of food today we certainly wont' be ordering from there any more. Location was on 6552 170 Avenue NW"

"I specifically wanted to go here after having looked for Vietnamese places on TripAdvisor., as I love that cuisine and we unfortunately don't have a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Cape Town. First little disappointment was that we were looking for a relaxed sit-down lunch, with some wine ideally, and at Hoang Long it's more a fast food style place you have to stand in a line then order yourself and you get buzzed when it's ready, grab a drink from the fridge and of you go. Obviously not their fault, just our misunderstanding. It was just after the main Canadian lunch time (we tend to go a bit later for lunch than the locals, not before 1pm so the place looked like a bomb had just exploded and we struggled a bit to find a clear table. I eventually found one that I cleared myself, but the table was covered in sticky soy or fish sauce or whatever and it wasn't too easy to attract the not overly friendly waitress if she could please give me a cloth to clean the table (at no point did she consider this should maybe be her job, not mine, but never mind, I just wanted to sit down The nearby washroom provided me with paper towels and water in the end (if I would have waited for the waitress to come to our help I would probably still have been sitting there waiting... , so table cleared and cleaned....eventually our food was ready, but unfortunately, that of my husband's (who was already not too impressed with the place so far , spicy beef on jasmine rice, was cold. He couldn't be bothered to bring it back so just had two bites. My seafood soup was nice be it a bit bland so I had to add a lot of soy sauce to give it some taste, but that can obviously just be a personal thing. I was planning to come back for the Vietnamese spring rolls, but unfortunately didn't make it any more before my departure so that will have to wait til next time."

"This vietnamese restaurant is located near the University so parking is not easy so I suggest alternate methods of transportation if they are available to you. The restaurant seats about 25-30 so you may end up waiting because it has been busy every time I have gone. It is worth the wait. We had the green onion cake which came with a sweet sauce with chilli pieces and the salad rolls with peanut sauce for appetizers. For the meals we had a couple vermicelli bowls which come with fish sauce. We add hoisin and sriracha to our bowls to give them a bit more kick to the noodles. The meat is seasoned so be sure to consider this if you prefer unseasoned meats. I had a curry chicken noodle soup which had a coconut and lemongrass flavour. Very tasty. I always ask for less noodles so they asked if I would like more vegetables. I said Whatever so I don't know what they decided to do. It came with almost a full russet potato and two chicken thighs, fat still on, bone still in. This was very filling and there was no need for dessert. The flavours are very pronounced so if you like flavour this is the place."

"My husband introduced Thanh Thanh to me 10 yrs ago when we first started dating. We ate weekly there. Our go to meal was Imperial rolls and Curry chicken!! Since then we've moved to BC...BUT visit Thanh Thanh every time we visit Edm. And leave with 3-4 extra take out orders of Curry Chicken to freeze and take home!!! Best Vietnamese restaurant."

"This is one of my favorite Vietnamese Restaurants in town. I've been visiting this place for at least 4 years. Service is always great, the people that work here is really friendly. Of course I have my favorites here, every Vermicelli is really good, the fish sauce is tasty, beef, chicken, pork, etc, all is fresh and well seasoned. Grilled beef with rice, pho, vietnamese coffee, etc. The owner is really nice, she will even remember what do you like to order there. Hung Phat Vietnamese Noodle House is located in an industrial area so usually if you go at lunch you will see people from the offices around but If you want to visit them and bring your family, there is tons of space for a group, high chairs and TV can be found here. You can also order to pick up, they always add soy sauce, hot sauce and even sticks if needed. There are tons of parking in front of the restaurant, so that is not a problem. After your dinner you also can walk around as there are few nice stores to check. If you are on the south side and want to try something really close to home made food, I suggest you to try Hung Pat, you will not regret it."
